Jordan Spieth and Daniel Berger both finishing on -12 2 shots ahead of Charlie Hoffman and Danny Lee, headed off down the first playoff hole.

Andreas Romero only claim to fame in the last 10 years was a third place in the 2007 Open Championship at Carnoustie, where he finished 1 shot out of the playoff between eventual winner Padraig Harrington and Sergio Garcia. In his first European Tour start in 5 years and through a sponsor invite he managed to hold of Masters Champion Sergio Garcia by 1 shot to claim the biggest prize of his career.

So Yeon Ryu helped herself to another title by shooting a 61 in the second round and then breaking the record for a 54 hole score of -18, finishing 2 shots ahead of Amy Yang.

Other News

Phil Mickelson and long time serving caddie Jim (Bones) Mackay parted company after 25 years together.

A mutual agreement which now sees Phil’s brother Tim take charge of the bag for the remainder of the season and maybe beyond.
