THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL | Course: TPC Sawgrass

The prestigious Players Championship saw the youngest player ever to win. 21-year-old Si Woo Kim who qualified for the PGA Tour at 17 mastered TPC Sawgrass in 278 strokes to finish 3 shots ahead of  Ian Poulter and Louis Oosthuizen and claim his 2nd PGA Tour event.

Matt Wallace held off the challenge from Julian Suri from the USA to claim his maiden tour victory and finish -21. It was his first round 10 birdie blitz 63 that set him up for victory. With rounds of 66, 73 and 69 saw him comfortably home by 3 shots.

No Tournament for the Ladies this week.

Other News

It could be that Rory McIlroy misses out on the upcoming BMW  Tournament at Wentworth next week. Rory was in some discomfort after finishing the Players Championship T35, and has indicated that he is having an MRI scan this week to establish the problem.
