Canadian Adam Hadwin shot a -14 to win his first PGA Tour event by 1 shot from American Patrick Cantlay.

It was Adams first win in 78 starts since joining the Tour in 2010. The win leaves him ranked 98th in the world and a place in this years Masters.

His win also takes the number of Canadian Tour Pro’s to win on the PGA Tour to 15.

European Tour

S.S.P Chawrasia finished on -10 a massive 7 shots ahead of his nearest rival  Malaysian Gavin Green, (-3) to retain his National Open, at the Gary Player designed DLF Golf and Country Club.
The win now takes his European Tour wins in India to 4.

LPGA

With no tournament scheduled for this week the ladies are in Phoenix Arizona preparing for the Bank of Hope Founders Cup.

 

Other News

Most of the top pro’s are heading for Orlando in preparation for the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. This will be the first staging of Arnie’s Tournament since his passing in September last year.

Although this tournament always has a very enthusiastic turnout, this year there will be a few noticeable absentees

Tiger Woods winner of this prestigious title 8 times is still in the rehabilitation period from his back injury.

Justin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson among a few others, name the build up to the Masters and a tight schedule surrounding the PGA Tour as reasons for missing the API.
