Tiger Woods’ return to competitive Golf was a win-win situation for the 14-time major champion.
Notching up 4 rounds of Golf for the first time since February this year, without any health issues, he managed to shoot 3 rounds in the 60’s( 69,68,68) and a 75 finishing on -8 to give him a tie of 9th place with Matt Kuchar.
Ok so there were only 18 players that tee it up at the Hero World Challenge and therefore he managed a halfway finish but was still good enough to come in ahead of World #1 Dustin Johnson, World #3 Justin Thomas, World #8 Brooks Koepka and World #9 Henrik Stenson.
A pretty good comeback I’d say.
Another astonishing fact is that his participation in the Hero pulled in the second biggest Golf audience on US TV behind only the Open Championship.
Just shows that the man is still box office material after all his trials and tribulations over the past few years.
Let’s hope it lasts.
